First AI Tutor Implementation in a Puerto Rico School

We're announcing our first formal education partnership. Starting February 2026, Soy Un Glitch will collaborate with Espacio A—a democratic school located at Sagrado in Santurce—to implement our AI tutor and learning applications with their students. This marks the first implementation of a personalized AI tutor in a K-12 school setting in Puerto Rico. While most schools are still debating whether to allow AI in the classroom, we're building what happens when students learn to think alongside it.

About Espacio A

Espacio A was founded in 2007 on four pillars: democratic education, self-directed learning, nonviolent communication, and financial literacy. Students ages 4 to 18 design and lead their own learning experiences. Teachers act as mentors. Curiosity drives the curriculum.

For nearly two decades, they've practiced what most education reformers only discuss: treating each student as an individual with unique passions, not an input to be standardized. Every student receives personalized guidance tailored to how they learn best.

This philosophy aligns directly with ours. AI should amplify human potential—not replace it. Learning should develop autonomy, not dependency. Technology works best when it enhances what's already working.

Espacio A has created the conditions for this kind of education. Our role is to enhance what they've built.

What We're Building

Students at Espacio A will work with our AI tutor—a companion designed to meet each student where they are, adapt to their pace, and guide them through challenges without replacing the human mentorship that defines their school.

They'll also have the opportunity to build their own AI teams. Not just learning how to use AI, but how to direct it with intention. How to think alongside it. How to maintain agency while leveraging its capabilities.

This isn't about teaching students to depend on AI. It's about teaching them to lead it.

What We'll Learn

This partnership is designed to generate real insights—for the students and for us.

We want to understand how AI companions perform when paired with self-directed learning. We want to see what happens when students who are already encouraged to think for themselves are given systems that amplify that capacity. We want to find what works, what doesn't, and what we haven't imagined yet.

The students of Espacio A will shape how our platform evolves. Their feedback will make our applications better for every learner who comes after.

We'll share results from this collaboration later this year.

A Different Approach

Most schools have responded to AI with restriction. Ban the tools. Block the access. Pretend the technology doesn't exist.

This fails students twice. It denies them access to systems that will define their professional lives. And it treats AI as a threat rather than what it is: an amplifier.

Students don't need protection from AI. They need to learn how to think alongside it—how to ask better questions, evaluate responses critically, and decide what should remain human.

Espacio A has been cultivating these skills for years. Our collaboration is built on a shared belief: AI and student-centered education aren't in conflict. They're complementary.

What's Next

This partnership begins in February 2026.

We'll work directly with Espacio A's students and educators, iterating on our applications based on real feedback in a real learning environment. Results will be published later this year.

We're grateful to Espacio A for this collaboration—and excited to build alongside their community.

Results from this partnership will be shared later in 2026.
